Wake with Nat: The Photographer Behind Thailand's Best Wakeboard Shots
How a camera bought on a bad day turned into Thailand's most recognized wakeboard photography page. Nat's story, from first-time rider at Taco Lake to the go-to photographer at every major cable park and competition in the country.

Nat - Wake with Nat
If you have been to a cable wake park in Thailand in the last few years, chances are someone has shown you one of Nat's photos.
He is the person standing at the edge of the lake with a long lens, waiting for the exact moment a rider pops off a kicker or presses a rail. Not a professional photographer by training. Not someone who planned this. Just a guy who found the thing that helped him focus when everything else felt scattered.
How It Started
Nat grew up loving water. He started riding wakeboard in 2018 at Taco Lake with his sister. It was casual, just something to do on weekends.
Then a rough patch hit. He was feeling depressed, could not focus, did not know what to do with himself. On impulse, he walked into a camera shop and bought a camera. No plan, no direction. He just needed something to hold onto.
It worked. The camera gave him a way back to himself. He started bringing it to Taco Lake, taking photos of friends on the cable. And he noticed something: nobody else was doing it. Riders would come and ride, but there was nobody there to capture those moments for them. They would have a great session and leave with nothing to show for it.
A friend told him he should open a page to share the photos. That became Wake with Nat.
From Taco Lake to Every Park in the Country
What started at one park grew. Nat began showing up at Thai Wake Park Lumlukka, ESC Thai Wake Park, Zanook Wake Park, Varapa Wakepark, and Little Plant Wake Park. He shot competitions like the Singha Cable Championship, Hola Shaka, and the Suk Muang Noe event at Little Plant. He was at LongLay. He was at Winch Jam. Wherever there was wakeboarding in Thailand, Nat was there with a camera.
His page has grown to over 1,300 followers - not through ads or marketing, just through consistently showing up and sharing good photos. Riders tag themselves, share the images, and the community grows around it.

The Scene He Is Documenting
Thailand's cable wakeboard scene is growing fast. The country hosted the 2022 IWWF World Cable Wakeboard and Wakeskate Championships at ESC Thai Wake Park, and Thai riders took gold in cable wakeboard at the 2025 SEA Games. There are over a dozen cable parks spread across Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket, and Chiang Mai, with new ones still opening.
Nat's photos capture something that stats and park listings cannot: the energy. The splash off a kicker at sunset. A rider's face when they land something new. The community gathered around a dock waiting for their turn. It is that kind of documentation that makes a scene real, and Wake with Nat has been doing it since 2018.
